Our charter managers oversee the complete charter process on behalf of the owner, including marketing and listings, enquiries, negotiations, booking calendars, contracts, finances, logistics and itineraries, while remaining in constant communication with the captain and crew.

Operational Management

Operational management is not one-size-fits-all. The right structure depends on the yacht, her flag, cruising programme, technical complexity, crew profile and the owner’s own preferences.
We work with a carefully selected network of specialist yacht management firms, appointing the team best suited to each individual vessel and remaining closely involved throughout.

Operations
From berthing and bunkering to provisioning, travel arrangements and liaison with agents worldwide, the management team provides comprehensive shoreside support to the captain and crew, helping ensure the yacht has access to the right people, resources and local expertise wherever she is operating.

Accounting
Cost control and transparency are fundamental to good yacht management.
Detailed operational budgets, itemised monthly accounts and clear supporting documentation provide owners with full visibility over expenditure, while regular financial reporting helps identify variances early and keep costs under control.
A comprehensive annual overview then brings the full financial picture together.

Yacht Administration & Insurance
Flag, registration and ownership structure all have legal, tax and operational implications. The management team coordinates these requirements around the way and places in which the yacht is intended to operate, while keeping class, flag and statutory documentation up to date.
Longstanding industry relationships are also used to source appropriate and competitive insurance cover, with policies monitored and extended where necessary as cruising plans change.

Technical Support
Technical management is central to yacht reliability, safety and the protection of long-term resale value.
Working closely with the captain and engineering team, the management team oversees planned and preventative maintenance, routine inspections, statutory certification, class and flag requirements, fault resolution and larger technical works.
Where shipyard periods or dry docking are required, projects are coordinated and monitored in person to help control cost, quality and timelines.

Purchasing & Logistics
From technical spare parts and safety equipment to deck, interior and galley supplies, procurement needs to be fast, reliable and cost-conscious.
The management team coordinates sourcing, ordering, storage, shipping, customs and final delivery worldwide, using established supplier relationships to secure the right items at competitive prices.
Clear all-inclusive quotations are provided upfront, giving owners and captains visibility over cost before orders are placed.

Safety, Security & Regulatory Compliance
Safety and regulatory compliance sit at the core of responsible yacht management.
For commercial yachts, this includes requirements under the International Safety Management Code (ISM), International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) and Maritime Labour Convention (MLC), alongside flag, class and local regulations.
The management team ensures the appropriate systems, documentation and procedures are in place, maintained and correctly implemented, while supporting the captain and crew through inspections, audits and changing regulatory requirements.
Even where formal compliance regimes do not apply, we strongly favour the use of robust safety-management systems and clear operating procedures.

Crew Placement & Payroll
The importance of your captain and crew cannot be emphasized enough. The personalities onboard can make or break the time you spend cruising. It’s precisely for this reason that some of our clients have held the same captain, chef and core crew members for over a decade, almost becoming an extended part of the family.
