Our legacy
Founded in 2014, Yachtsman is an independent, family-owned yacht company backed by more than 120 years of continuous family involvement in the maritime world.
Our leadership team brings more than 70 years of combined experience in the sector. We have been owners, charterers, captains, managers and occasionally very lucky guests!
That first-hand experience shapes a practical approach built around discretion, accountability and long-term relationships.

Daphne Tsevdos
Founder & Broker
Since 2000, Daphne has played a central role in shaping the yachting industry as we know it today. Cutting her teeth as Head of Charter & Marketing for the 99 metre M/Y Christina O, before acting as the central agent for a 72 metre yacht, followed by an 82 metre yacht, she earned her reputation as an expert on larger yachts, for which she holds an impeccable track record.
Since the founding of Yachtsman, Daphne has managed a fleet of yachts varying in size from 20 metres up to 90 metres overseeing charters worldwide. She is an active advocate for best practices across the industry, provides unwavering support to her fellow professionals, and is a member of the International Propeller Club.
When not running a business, she can normally be found doting over her grandchildren.
Laura Papazefkou
Charter Broker
Raised bi-culturally between the Pacific Northwest of the Unites States and Athens, Greece, Laura has always held a natural affinity for being on the water. On completion of her studies, she dived straight into yachting and rapidly became one of the most knowledgeable and experienced charter brokers in the market, having successfully delivered innumerable world-class charters for her clients, whilst simultaneously managing a charter fleet.
When she is not in the office, she is usually travelling around the world to both hotspots and lesser discovered areas of the globe, scoping out the finer details of sailing destinations.
Laura holds a MSc in Maritime Operations and Management, having completed her dissertation on “The Ecological Footprint of the Mega Yacht Industry”.

Kostantinos Oikonomidis
Sales & Charter Broker
Konstantinos’ dedication, expertise and natural charm make him a true asset to his clients. At Yachtsman, he has been involved in some of the largest sales and charter transactions undertaken by the firm.
Konstantinos learned to sail at the age of 5, setting the stage for ultimate progression to Olympic class windsurfer. Competing as a professional athlete in European and World Championships, his life has been shaped by the sea.
Outside of the office, you are likely to find him on a board somewhere. Either on the waves or up a snow-covered mountain.
Renee Belousis
Charter Broker
Of Greek Australian heritage, Renee has had the privilege of considerable first-hand chartering experience, arming her with considerable insight as to how best meet and exceed her client’s expectations. Her organisational skills and attention to detail are second to none.
Outside of work, she is typically ferrying one of her two children between their various sporting endeavours or doing her utmost not to be shouting from the touchline.

Protecting what moves us.
The health of our oceans is fundamental to the future of yachting, and we believe the industry has a clear responsibility to protect the environments in which it operates.
Over the past decade, Yachtsman has taken practical steps to reduce its own environmental impact, while supporting a number of significant marine conservation and environmental initiatives around the world.
Across our managed fleet, we encourage crews to operate with the same mindset. This includes reducing unnecessary waste, limiting the use of single-use plastics, supporting local communities, participating in coastal and marine clean-up efforts, and adopting more responsible and sustainable yachting practices wherever practical.
We also work with owners, captains and shipyards to identify opportunities to improve yacht sustainability and environmental performance, whether through more efficient systems, responsible sourcing, waste management, refit decisions or operational changes.
There is always more to be done. We remain committed to making considered choices, supporting meaningful initiatives and encouraging practical improvements across the areas of the yacht industry in which we operate.

Boat Shows
Dubai International Boat Show
Held annually in mid-late February, it is the Middle East’s largest luxury yachting event, with a wide array of yachts on display in addition to a healthy showing of nautical innovations.
Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association Charter Show
Held annually in late April, this is a trade-only show that brings together industry professionals for networking and inspection of the top charter yachts in the market. A superb opportunity for owners to present their yachts to a highly professional and captive brokerage audience.
East Med Multihull Yacht Show
Held annually in late April/early May in Poros, Greece, with a predominant focus on multihull yachts under 30 metres available for charter in the Greek market.
Mediterranean Yacht Show
Held annually in early May and organised by the Greek Yachting Association, this is a trade-only event showcasing yachts over 24 metres in length operating under Greek professional license
Cannes Yachting Festival
Held annually in early September, and split between motor yachts (Vieux Port) and sailing yachts (Port Canto), up to a maximum length of 50 metre. Particularly good for viewing the latest offerings in tenders, water toys, and larger sailing yachts.
Genoa Boat Show
Held annually in late September, and dedicated to displaying the best of Italian build yachts with a focus on the 10 metre to 30 metre offerings.
Monaco Yacht Show
Held annually at the end of September, with a reputation for being the most prestigious of yacht shows. For good reason too. Without fail, you will find strong representation from the most celebrated shipyards and designers, with the pinnacle of cutting-edge and exciting new build yachts on display, in addition to some of the biggest and best yachts from around the world available for viewing for both sale and charter.
Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show
Held annually in late October/early November, FLIBS is by a number of measures the biggest show in the calendar. Largely as a result of the sheer range of products on display, it attracts a vast and broad audience.
Antigua Charter Yacht Show
Held annually in early December, this trade-only show provides an excellent platform for owners to showcase their charter yachts to the top brokers from around the world.
Yachting Regattas
America’s Cup
Billed as the oldest competition in international sport, it brings cutting-edge high speed yacht design to the fore in intense competition between national teams.
The history and prestige of the event attracts the world’s top sailors, yacht designers and high-end sponsorship, with a crowd to match.
New Zealand Millennium Cup
The world’s most southerly superyacht regatta. A challenging racecourse that uses dormant volcanoes as markers. The deep emerald coves, stunning natural beauty and abundance of wildlife combined with a plethora of onshore events and superb hospitality make this an exceptional experience.
Antigua Superyacht Challenge
A four-day invitational event for sailing yachts over 30 metres in length. The three classes comprise of buccaneers, corsairs and privateers, with various prizes up for grabs, including barrels of rum. No pretension to be found here. Attracts a fun and well-heeled crowd.
Saint Barths Bucket Regatta
Attracting some of the most distinguished yachts and their owners, the focus here is on camaraderie. The non-commercial spirit, deliberate and by design, makes for a fabulous yet casual social scene, with the parties playing a very close second fiddle to the racing itself.
Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta
An event for classic yachts, albeit the definition and application is relatively wide, with Spirit of Tradition and Modern Classic classes also featuring. Proceedings are adorned with a festive atmosphere throughout, achieving a fantastic blend of heritage, sportsmanship and laidback Caribbean charm.
Antigua Sailing Week
Remains one of the largest and most celebrated regattas in the Caribbean. Attracts a diverse representation across classes and crew experience levels. A relaxed social scene sees locals and visitors alike dance the evenings away.
Giorgio Armani Regatta
Organised by the Yacht Club Smeralda, for yachts 24 metres in length and above, benefits from a magnificent setting, a glamourous crowd, and capped with a superb social program that includes a gala dinner on the panoramic terrace of the yacht club.
Loro Piana Giraglia
Held annually in early to mid June, and organised by the Yacht Club Italiano in cooperation with the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez. Begins with four days of inshore racing in the waters of Saint-Tropez, before the start of the offshore leg which covers a 241 mile triangular route from Saint-Tropez to Giraglia to Genoa. Idyllic surroundings and a world-class fleet of yachts in attendance makes for an especially glamourous event.
Cyclades Cup
Organised by the Yacht Club of Greece, and held on the spectacular and picturesque island of Antiparos. Welcomes sailing yachts over 30 metres and promises a full social programme. A particularly chic affair.
Superyacht Cup Palma
Four days of professionally managed yacht racing combined with a relaxed, informal social programme make this a hugely popular event, attracting an impressive list of yachts.
Spetses Classic Regatta
Held annually at the end of June / beginning of July, this classic yacht race benefits from a stunning backdrop and enthusiastic local support and participation. Organised by the Yacht Club of Greece.
Aegean 600
Under the auspices of the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club, this spectacular 605 mile offshore race encompasses some of the most magnificent scenery in Greece, traversing through numerous iconic islands, and providing a serious challenge to all participants.
Copa del Rey MAPFRE
Held annually at the end of July to beginning of August and based out of Palma’s Real Club Nautico, Mallorca, this multi-class sailing competition attracts some of the best skippers and crew from around the world and is recognised as one of the most prestigious European regattas.
Rolex Fastnet Race
Organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club, a particularly challenging event that, since a revision to the course in 2021, covers 695 nautical miles from Cowes (UK) to Cherbourg (France) via Fastnet Rock (Ireland). Attracts an impressive rollcall of world-class crews and yachts.
Rolex New York Yacht Club Invitational Cup
Hosted by the New York Yacht Club. This is widely regarded as one of the most competitive amateur events, with the 20 available invitations issued to selected international and North American yacht clubs. Since 2019, the race has been conducted solely using the NYYC own design IC37s to ensure the most level playing field.
Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup
The Costa Smeralda plays host to one of the highlights of the Mediterranean yachting season. Bringing together some of the world’s largest, most elegant and powerful yachts to race across the beautiful waters off the coast of Sardinia, this remains one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the calendar.
Ibiza JoySail
An invitation-only yet laidback event that welcomes maxis and superyachts for both coastal and offshore racing. Unpredictable winds and challenging routes rounding the incredible waters of Formentera, Espardell Natural Park and the island of Ed Vedrá, combined with the world-renowned social setting of the White Island.
Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez
An enormous gathering of over 200 competing yachts, from classic wooden vessels through to high-tech racing machines. All with the beautiful and vibrant backdrop of the Old Port of St Tropez to set the scene.
Barcolana Regatta
This is the largest sailing yacht regatta in the world by number of participants. Open to all types of sailing yachts, the scale of proceedings makes the event a truly unique spectacle.
Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race
This is widely regarded as one of the most challenging offshore races in the world, covering 628 nautical miles. Known for unpredictable weather and the infamous Bass Strait crossing, it attracts a mix of seasoned professional teams and passionate amateur sailors.
